Progressive, Compassionate Veterinary Medicine

Veterinary internal medicine is the practice of diagnosing and treating diseases in dogs and cats. While prevention and wellness care is our main focus with patients, Perinton Veterinary Hospital offers veterinarians and staff with skill and experience in diagnosis and treatment of canine and feline diseases.

Advanced Diagnostic Technology & Skill

We use a variety of tools in evaluating your pets, to effectively diagnose conditions or diseases and apply prompt treatments. At Perinton, patients enjoy the latest in diagnostic imaging technology, including digital X-ray and ultrasound. In addition, we offer standard testing and access to specialty laboratory testing services, for the most comprehensive services available. Rapid diagnosis allows us to accurately identify problems and initiate appropriate medications and treatments, to restore your pet’s health and comfort.

High Blood Pressure in Pets

Hypertension (high blood pressure) is a significant health concern for cats and dogs. There are many underlying causes of hypertension, including specific disease conditions, certain medications, and age.

Our veterinarians may check your pet’s blood pressure if they have any of these concerns. Blood pressure screening is routinely recommended for both acute and chronically ill patients, as well as healthy senior pets.

Quality & Compassion in Veterinary Medicine

Our veterinarians and staff are dedicated to the highest standard of medical care, provided with a personal touch. Patient wellbeing and quality of life are always our top priorities. We build relationships with you and your pets to provide compassionate care . . . for life.

We offer personalized care, treatment, and monitoring to dogs and cats with a variety of disorders, including diabetes, Cushing’s disease, and thyroid disease. For patients requiring specialized care, we have access to board-certified specialists in small animal internal medicine through our referral program.
