Dr. David Hancock

Dr. HancockHospital director at Perinton Veterinary Hospital, Dr. David Hancock attended Cornell University both as an undergraduate student as well as a veterinary student. In 1971, Dr. Hancock graduated from the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences with a BS Degree in Animal Science. In 1975, he graduated and received his DVM Degree from the New York State College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University.

Previous to his present position at Perinton, Dr. Hancock served as hospital director at Fairview Animal Hospital and Companion Animal Hospital. Before his arrival at the Monroe Veterinary Associates, he worked as a staff veterinarian at Amsterdam Animal Hospital and Storybook Farm Veterinary Hospital.

A general small animal practitioner, Dr. Hancock has professional interests in animal dentistry. Each year he commits to 30-60 hours of continuing education.

Dr. Hancock participates in church activities and is a member of several local and national veterinary organizations. Some of these organizations include the New York State Veterinary Medical Society (executive board member), Genesee Valley Veterinary Medical Association (past president and past treasurer), the American Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Veterinary Dental Society.

An avid golfer and woodworking enthusiast, Dr. Hancock is married to Ann. For pets, they share their home with 3 dogs (Alley, Teddy and Honey) and a cat named Levi.

Dr. Kathleen Fish

Dr. FishLocal to the area, Dr. Kathleen Fish attended the University of Buffalo and graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2000 with a B.S. Degree in Animal Health and Behavior. During her undergraduate career, Dr. Fish received numerous citations for her academic excellence. Inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, the national honor society, she was also the recipient of the Grace Capen Award for Academic Excellence, the Howard Hughes Research Fellowship and an award for excellence in general chemistry.

Following her undergraduate studies, Dr. Fish was admitted to Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. She graduated in 2004 and was awarded her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine.

A member of the Calvary Chapel Church, Dr. Fish's hobbies include playing the violin, horseback riding, playing tennis and spending time with her kitty named Puck.

Dr. Nancy Filiaci

Dr. FiliaciHaving spent her early childhood years in Nassau, Bahamas, Dr. Nancy Filiaci attended Cornell University where she graduated (Magna Cum Laude with honors) in 1983 with a major in Animal Science. Following her undergraduate studies, Dr. Filiaci remained at Cornell, where she attended the New York State College of Veterinary Medicine and received her DVM Degree in 1987.

Dr. Filiaci is married to Casey and together they have 3 children - Casey Mae, Francesca and Gino. Their four-legged companions include a cat named Mugsy and 2 dogs, Shannon and Bow Wow. For recreation, Dr. Filiaci enjoys hiking, camping running, crafts and golf.
